Growing up with a mother who worked on a stage and a father who worked behind it, Caitlan was born to perform. At the age of four, she was already twirling and flipping in dance classes and gymnastics. After several years of recreational and then competitive gymnastics at Alta, Caitlan decided to try something new. Switching to Rhythmic Gymnastics at age 10 she quickly made her way in the sport, going to Nationals and even to the 2003 Canada Games. After Canada Games, while seeking an alternative to the monotony of gymnastics, Caitlan found her passion for circus.
She's one of the bendiest girls you'll find in Halifax, and loves to climb anything she can get her hands on. A performer since 2003 and an instructor since 2005 she has had experience in many different apparatus including Aerial Silks, Contortion, Aerial Hoop, Trapeze, Hula Hoop, Hand balancing and much more. Cait has done many performances since 2003 including Haliwood, Titz and Glitz, The Candy Show, Canada Games Opening Ceremonies and at various business and trade shows - and that's just the tip of the iceberg.
Caitlan is a strong believer that anyone can learn any circus arts as long as they maintain a positive attitude and stick with it. We were all beginners once and it is just a matter of practice.
