Lynette Wahlstrom, Electric Piano
When music takes flight, Lynette Wahlstrom is at the keyboard.

Lynette is the creative spark behind Aerial Keys, a joyful collaboration with aerial silk
artist SpiraLynn (Christy Sanford) that brings together soaring acrobatics and live piano
in a program designed especially for families. Their artistic partnership began in 2023 with Aerial Opera, an electrifying production featuring Soprano Opera arias with four aerialists and two pianists. The chemistry between Lynette and SpiraLynn was immediate — together they helped shape a performance that had audiences cheering. Now, as a dynamic duo of silk and keys, they invite audiences of all ages into a world where music
lifts bodies into the air and imagination knows no limits.

A versatile and expressive pianist, Lynette serves as Pianist for Halifax Camerata Singers
and Symphony Nova Scotia Chorus, and as Director of Music at First Baptist Church
Halifax. She is in demand as a répétiteur, vocal coach, and collaborative artist, having
worked with Opera Nova Scotia, Halifax Summer Opera Festival, Dalhousie’s Voice
Department, Opera from Scratch, and the Nova Scotia Choral Federation.
Whether accompanying a choir, an opera singer, or an aerialist spinning high above the
stage, Lynette’s playing is driven by storytelling, colour, and connection — inviting
audiences, especially young listeners, to experience live music as something vibrant,
playful, and full of wonder.
