Ping pongs. So powerful. So elusive. So cool. And yet, they're SO HARD... Liesl has made it her special project to understand ping pongs as deeply as possible and she has successfully taught them to aerialists of all levels. This workshop will break down the ping pong to extremely manageable steps and will reveal all the secrets in the process. It is required to be able to get
into and invert in a high knot.

Advanced Silk - Ping Pong Drops - 1.5 hours $62.70

Thursday July 16th 530-7pm
There are a few drops that have become known for their rebound potential to the extent that the drop itself is called a ping pong. BUT there are so many less commonly known drops that can also incorporate ping pongs. This workshop will explore some creative applications of the ping pong. Pre-requisites are a double star and at least one of a) already having a ping pong or b)the All Levels Ping Pong Basics workshop.

Advanced Silk - Drop Stacking - 1.5 hours $62.70

Wednesday July 15th 730-9pm
This workshop will satisfy any aerialist that thrives on the gasps of their audience. We will be learning drop stacking wrap theory including understanding our "safety" and how to mix and match wraps for that "design your own drop" kind of experience! Prerequisites are double stars and the endurance to stay in the air for 4+ minutes.

All Levels Silk - Partner Party (duo skills) - 2 hours. $85.50

We've all seen those duos where one person is basing in the silk and one person is hanging from them. But how many duos have you seen where no one person is obviously basing or flying, but both are working together and interacting with the fabric to create new shapes? This workshop will explore teamwork, creativity, and tension techniques for some crazy cool new
skills. No partner required. It is recommended to have a ten second open hang and be able to climb at least halfway up the silk several times throughout the class.

All Levels - Duo Acro Extravaganza - 2 hours. $85.50

July 14th - 1-230pm (as part of Advanced Youth Camp)
This workshop will cover some foundational concepts for partner acro like the stack and the counterbalance through some fun shapes and transitions. We'll also explore some introductory standing acro. This would be a great class to invite your SO to join or just show up and partner with some new friends! There will be options for regression and progression, so this class is
accessible to all levels. No prerequisites.

All Level Silks/Rope - Intro to Dynamics 1.5 hours $62.70

July 15th 530-7pm

Beats are an aerialist's gateway into a world of bliss. Impress people with your dazzling strength using momentum to make it almost effortless! This class will provide a foundation of how to efficiently perform several varieties of beats. There will be opportunities to personalize the instruction to the specific level of each aerialist. Prerequisites are an aerial invert and the

willingness to struggle.

WHO IS SHE?

Owner, Performer, and Coach: Liesl Klaue

Liesl's journey into aerial arts started in childhood as a trampolinist. After taking trampoline classes at a circus school, she was mesmerized by the aerialists and fell in love with the art form. Since 2017, Liesl has dedicated considerable time to learning this incredible discipline in places from BC to Montreal, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and London (UK). She now resides in Kelowna, BC where she coaches at Peak Aerial Fitness as well as in person workshops across BC and Alberta and online all over the world (5 continents and counting!).

 

Liesl has been performing professionally since 2019. Her primary discipline is aerial silks, but she also dabbles in hoop (lyra), rope (corde lisse), straps, hand balancing and partner acro (hand to hand). Her training videos can be found at @aerialaspiration on Instagram.
